Well if you haven't sorted this out before you hand over the business your children are still going to be faced with CGT anyway. There are so many ways to transfer a business to your children tax free even if we had death duties that it is not worth worrying about in practice. Nice idea in theory, pointless in practice.
I wish our politicians would focus their attention on the really economically bad taxes like payroll and stamp duty.
