Think KW's psychology has more to do with capital management (he didn't hesitate to close the Ungani well in 2013, instead of making the refiners rich, choosing the path of building capacity and consolidate BRU's oil). He got a lot of flack over that and he wore it.
Also, according to the 2013 AGM KW wants a "no regrets 2014" regarding the Laurel gas.
Think he sees the priority of BRU's gas and not the oil.
