Since 1860, every US president elected on the 20 year cycle(1860,1880,1900 etc.) has died in office; many by assassination. The only exception was Reagan who survived an assassination attempt and was only wounded.
There are many interesting similarities amongst these victims. Much was written about the similarities between Lincoln and Kennedy. I find it interesting to compare the names of John Wilkes Booth and George Walker Bush.
Heaven forbid we could have Cheney as US president.
Considering the amount of newspaper coverage given to this topic when Reagan was elected, and nothing that I am aware with Bush, I wonder whether it is a deliberate media stategy designed to not encourage nutters.
