    Well, since Australia is fairly advanced in non-fossil energy technology at this stage and since the coal fired power stations are very polluting, I don't see why Kyoto would have an overall bad effect on Australia.

    Hydrogen, alcohol and natural gas could be ways to generate power and drive transport. The existing generators could be converted fairly easily to gas. Cars just need new rubber and plastic bits in the fuel systems.

    We got stacks of Uranium too.

    Land clearing will be a no-no and land use may change a bit but overall, a good thing imo
