One thing I have always been fascinated by is the fact that all cars have been fitted with devices to reduce pollution in order to decrease the ozone area being depleted. However jets continue to spew millions of tons of crap into our upper atmosphere with nothing being done about it.

If you take the pollution created by a car for instance and the ability of this pollution reaching the upper atmosphere it is very small compared to a jet which burns aprox. 100 tons of fuel on an average trip and deposit it directly into the upper atmosphere. Are we just looking for something to do to make it look like we are doing something? Maybe we should take the money and do a real study on ways to save our ozone layer and if what we are doing is really the cause of its depletion.
