Keeper there is a very logical reason for the hole in the ozone layer and that is that the suns radiation is not strong enough at the poles to ionize the o2 molecules. the hole in the ozone layer was disciovered before cfc's were invented there always was and always will be a hole there. the thing that scientists are not telling you about which is a far greater problem is that the van allen belts are deteriorating at a far greater rate than they would like. this is the real problem not some looney greenhouse effect
