Right on Tom.
Firebreaks are pretty much useless to stop a fire (unless conditions are mild), but handy for access, providing they are well made and maintained, with occasional turnarounds and passing points,, and signage if complex. I have come across some shockers in 50+ years of fire work and dont trust them unless I get them checked out before committing crews.
Even many fire tracks in the bush are deathtraps as many agencies dont do any or little mtce on them now.
