Good to see the bushfires the worst over (todays paper) Herald Sun, I was a young person a member of the Young Liberals in 1983, handing out brochures at the polling booth for Malcolm Fraser, Bob Hawke won. In the lead up to the election both parties called a halt to the campaigning to pay respects to the victims of the fires then Uncannily in a repeat of the weather pattern sadly many have lost their lives to bushfires again in 2009.
