My message is mixed but I think that the Company should or will address these issues very very soon, I will be surprised if they do not. IMO, you should be aware of the risks that these current bushfires near Pt Lincoln present to an operation such as Tuna aquaculture. The bushfires present a number of risks including blackouts and poor air quality. Blackouts may result in a loss of oxygen to broodstock and or larvae although a well planned hatchery will have back-up power supplies. The smoke may result in lack of oxygen and this can have a devastating effect (read total loss) on any larvae in the hatchery unless it this too has a good back up plan, which, for the money that has been spent, I hope it has. There is a high risk that either of these will impact upon the current spawning program and a failure of the spawning program this year, despite being a setback, should not be seen as a devastating result for the company. I will wait to see what the company says before buying any more stock.
