This was a response I received from one of the CNX directors recently...
Thank you for your interest in CNX and our project. We are very pleased with the progress to date.
On overlapping tenure we are engaged with all stakeholders, including Government and CSG players on this issue. We are focused on developing a solution that gives all players the ability to develop with certainty. This type of issue is not new and very similar to the tenure issue that existed between coal miners and CSG players 10 years ago. In that case the QLD Government developed legislation that enabled both industries to develop, so they have a track record of brokering a win-win outcome. Our immediate plans are to develop our site in Queensland. In addition, as we have previously stated, we are looking at developing projects in other States of Australia as well as overseas, with India, China and the US being the prime targets. Carbon Energy’s world leading UCG technology can be applied to any suitable coal seam anywhere in the world.
