    "Almost 300 businesses including Westpac, AGL, Unilever and GE have signed a joint statement backing a price on carbon."

    So what should we infer from US companies joining a "consortium" to support a carbon tax in Australia.

    They use paper shuffling to avoid paying tax in Australia anyway. Possibly another screen to hide their tax avoidance.
