These BD costs exists in any resource company of Deterra's size or more - it's just they are obscured behind much greater expenditure in other areas.
You could make the same argument that FMG, BHP or ILU should shutter their significant strategy / BD costs.
I get the argument but I'd rather they be patient. If other market players judge these cost to be extravagant (I dint think they are) then they will apply a 10x multiplier and value them as a synergy
