One big problem some people have is that when you talk of phenominal rates of fire they immediately think, "hey" how in the hell are they going to keep the ammo up to this thing! what they are missing is the whole point! it may only fire either one or two rounds, there are two ways you can achieve mach 5/50!
One is by firing two rounds in succession very quickly, which is possible, because these rounds are fired electronically!
But there is also another method of achieving mach 5/50, it is achieved by using stacked propellant technology, that is that the round is fired electronically, the firing mechanism (electroinic) has the ability to fire one two or perhaps three propellant charges when it initiates firing.
This firing by this method causes the first propellant charge to fire initially, quickly followed by the firing of a second or even perhaps a third propellant charge? depending on just which electronic signal is sent to the round, if it required? that only one charge to be fired? then that is all that is conveyed to the round, but if it required that more than one charge is to be fired? then it uses another path where the first charge is fired, but due to how this round was directed to be fired, it allows a slow burn fuse to fire either a second charge at some predetermined point or even a third charge to be ignited, this is the method they can use to achieve mach 5/50 using a single round, do you understand what I am saying?
does anybody else see the signifigance of this?
Most people do not understand this principle from what I gather, this is where they get lost, thinking that this weapon fires phenominal ammounts of round when in fact it is totally selectable, unlike existing weapons systems which fire at a given rate no matter what!
