As your purchase of AYS shares was on 30 March, that transaction will only have settled to your account today (T+2). That is at least 2 days too late to have been able to accept the WAM offer.
In order to accept the WAM offer, you would have had to purchase early enough for the settlement to happen 2 days later, then instruct your broker to accept the WAM offer, and then have your broker action that request before the offer closed at 7pm on 30 March. You are right that "If no election is made, the default option for accepting amaysim Shareholders will be the Scrip Consideration" - but that doesn't apply to you as you are not an "accepting amaysim Shareholder" as you have not accepted the WAM offer. Accepting the offer was an explicit action you would have had to take.
