My fear factor rises when you mention Washington Soul Pattison. It is not the same company/same ownership as that from 1903. You may care to look at the cross shareholding with Brickworks Ltd, and, I think they could have different balance sheet dates - shades of Alan Bond. I could be wrong though but I will not invest in either of them and I will not take comfort from them being on the shareholder list for RFG, either.
Let's also call the share price collapse what it really was, too. The great short sell by UBS and George's great price discount. Alfords' conduct came to light near the end of the UBS caper, which was totally unrelated to the conduct.
