just called the RFG franchise partner number on the website to enquire about the costs involved. Short version is you can obviously purchasing an existing store for much less than the cost of a new store. But you need to allow capital for refurbishment and new equipment in the future. They advised me for a new build you should budget on about $500k in capital to get up and running. However depending on the location and footprint the cost could be much higher.

My estimate of $750k was purely based on the contacts I witnessed to setup a new coffee club. This was a larger site but albeit some 5 years ago.

The costs are what they are. My initial question was around how many corporate stores the company could afford to open and if this number would make any meaningful impact to the overall outlet numbers.
