Around a decade ago I was considering buying a coffee shop. I saw the books for maybe 30 cafes, from memory 3 of them were GJs, all 3 were marginal at best. A good way to see if a franchise brand is decent from a franchisee perspective is to look at the asking prices for there currently operating stores that are for sale and compare that to the cost of a new franchise store. The vast vast majority of ones that I've looked at are selling for a lower, usually much lower price than a new franchise store. Indicates that they have burned some or all of their investment by the time they exit the franchise. Some lose substantially more than their original investment.
For me GJs does not add to the investment case for rfg.
