    tme,

    You posted - in part:

"a) There is no water present above or below the REM so contamination is negligible (I didn't post this in my OP but we did discuss it and they were very bullish on this as well).

    b) We are in the middle of nowhere so any impact is negligible,~"

A very important observation in view of The Australian story today at:

    http://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/battle-between-mining-and-agriculture-threatens-22bn-in-coal-seam-gas-projects/story-e6frg8zx-1226049435238

"Battle between mining and agriculture threatens $22bn in coal-seam gas projects"

    in part:

"While the debate about mining versus agriculture is taking place all around Australia, it is particularly acute in the coalmining states of Queensland and NSW.
The new NSW government has started a process under which there will be land use plans for certain affected areas, but the process is considerably further advanced in Queensland, where the government has released a series of "trigger maps" that outline what the government calls "strategic cropping land", which it proposes to be kept for farming and off limits to mining. The trigger maps cover all of the areas of the state where mining takes place, but they show that the Surat Basin area on the western Darling Downs will be the main area where the mining industry will be affected."

Billions of dollars in projects at stake with Governments potential to reap huge amounts in royalties etc at risk; suddenly a blowfly in the ointment and a lot of proven projects that could possibly be abandoned...how bad can it get?

Fortunately, ADE will not be affected in the shale gas areas. Two tenements are held in the Surat Basin; ATP849P 20% with Icon and ATP 904P 100% and subject to the farmout of gas rights. Fortunately ADE does not appear to have spent much on these projects and would not be factored in to the sp.

It may be a bit different for Icon who are currently drilling the Lydia Block area in ATP626 in the Surat.

    ICN report:

"The Company has executed conduct and compensation agreements with landholders in the Lydia Block area, and continues to regularly engage with landholders while conducting the Drilling Programme."

However, from the tone of The Australian article, Government intervention could potentially override the ICN landowner agreements.

ADE, with a mc of less than $50M, are a bargain; especially with the imminent fracking of Encounter & Holdfast and the perceived results.

Imagine the increased value of ADE with a successful Nappamerri fracking and many current/future coal seam gas projects having to be abandoned - gas prices would take off...along with the sp of ADE.
