I believe I read that the MRRT cost more more to administer than it raised. About 4 years ago the WA Govt announced it was 2 pay $100 2 each WA senior card holder, at that time most pensioners did not bother 2 apply 4 this card as it was mainly 2 give dicounts 2 those who did not qualify 4 aged pension card, well nearly every pensioner in WA then applied 4 the WA Senior card to receive the $100. I was told how much the admin costs were at the time, can't remember the amt but much more than was paid out. How about Clive, guess the fat man has proved that money sings. Labor will come back, Rudderless but hopefully heading in the right direction. I am in Bali at present and getting a great exchange rate, not because the Aus $ up but seems the Rupiah in free fall.
