Yes I did see Rgdk's update. I just think it is a mistake in the wording of the answer.
Agree, the liability is no longer MFS's but nor is it CVC's it is Stella's. CVC's shareholding doesn't oblige them to meet liabilities and it is legally impossible for them to be a respondent to any claim.
Hence their exposure is contingent to CVC as it is to MFS. The only way MFS are completely in the clear on this (in terms of the contingent liability) is if CVC indemnify them but this exposure is not that big relative to the value of Stella as a standalone business.
