gosouth, I am not sure you have the right figures in your first post. From the ANN:
the company’s unaudited... first half 2013 underlying net profit after tax between $6 and $7 million." ___________
So, first half = $6-$7m. Now to full year:
"... based on the lower first half performance and current lower business activity levels expected for the remainder of this year, the 2013 full year results will be below the current market consensus levels of revenues between $564 million and $661 million and reported net profit after tax between $29 million to $41 million." ____________
IT may be written in an ambiguous way, but it looks to me like it will be below what they reported ($29m - $41m). With NPAT of 6-7m in first half, it would have to be a hell of a bumper 2nd half to bring it to 29-41m. If H2 is similar to H1 (and the ANN does not make it clear), AAX could have NPAT of about $15m, which would make it about half expectations.
What are other people's reading of the ANN?
