Busy July for Nzuri, page-12

There is a long history of Uranium exploration at Kalongwe and as a mining by product elsewhere in the copper belt.


I have looked through my notes but not found any reference to a question I thought I asked about Kalongwe uranium at a meeting - from memory it wasn't considered a major issue (not certain) so no further comment at the moment about specifics for Nzuri and U.

Uranium has been a by product of certain ores from Kolwezi (image above) so there is a significant precedent for the area.

Been thinking about taking up an invitation to visit the office and will ask (among other things) what impact U will have on the project. Unless someone else contacts the company.

As an aside uranium has been a significant by product of gold mining from the conglomerates of the Witswatersrand for a long time and does not get a lot of press mention from what I have seen.
