You mean a rigorous double blind like the vaccines did not have. I saw a report that said PFE gave the placebo the vaccine after the trial, eliminating the possibility of tracking long term effects. That makes their rigorous trial pretty worthless. Long term effects is not so important for IVM, as it has been on the market for decades
