I think retail is definitely being targeted by shorters. They act as a wolves. Once they smell blood they all attack together. Half the articles shouting daysdoom are mostly short side sponsored. I believe we are getting close to the bottom here. Myer, Harvey's etc sell different products that customers don't usually shop online for. Amazon mainly sell USB cables, books, diapers and headphones. Most of these are not big ticket/high margin items for our retail store. May affect JBH but with myer they have perfumes which you can only smell in store, they have high heels for women and dresses which women don't want to order online but want to try and smell in store. You can't go completely online as customers won't be able to try vacuum cleaners or tablets and determine which one they like. They want to speak to a specialist and determine if Miele or Asko is the best product in their kitchen. They want to look at shelf stock of delonghi and determine which one will fit their house decor. It's all about offering differing products. It's never going to be 100% online. Amazon sell different products and are in a niche market and won't reach no more than 5% here as our consumers don't like big bad foreign companies stealing jobs. Prime example Starbucks.
