Myer shares are cheap, in my opinion.
If the Commsec data is right for example they've paid out $850m in grossed dividends (ie adding back franking credits) in just the past 7 years alone. The market cap is currently $693.9m.
Myer has been around for 100+ years. If you believe that Amazon can't replace apparel shopping, cosmetics, manchester, etc then they may well be around for the next 100 years too.
Any recession caused by some kind of property collapse would likely only last several years from past experience (e.g. early 1990's) So on a decades long time line, recessions are non-events.
Good long term buying at current prices for true believers, imo.
