Surprisingly Im feeling a little more optimistic on the prospects of UMC subject to the following:

OE comment on the lack of visibility of the path to market. UMC needs to advise the market if there are precedents in terms of approval in trucking 3mta of ore via road to port. UMC needs to advise on the status of port access.

OE comment on the release of assay results from the complete regional exploration. OE was right about the imminent release of the Railway upgrade, so perhaps UMC may indeed change tack and provide the market a complete update of ALL assay results from regional exploration.

UMC provides a timeline on estimated completion dates for key milestones as we head to 2011.

The overhang seems to be running out of steam. Given CRM's involvement, I will be gob smacked if an Asian institution/fund does not enter the UMC register over the coming months.
