Shorting the likes of AVB, MHM, STB, PEK, OVR, SSN, and the other stock you listed, you would have to be well leveraged (read massive risk), or it would have to be October 2008 for one to come in even close to making the profits of made on the long positions in these.
Shorting is for pros like yourself.
