West Australian Iron Ore Producer, Pluton Resources Ltd (ASX: PLV) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brett Clark as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 March 2013.
Mr Clark joined Pluton in February 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Curtin University and a Graduate Diploma of Business Management and Finance from Deakin University. He has over 20 years’ experience in the resources sector in operations, acquisitions, project development, new business development, asset management, and financial /funding roles.
Mr Clark brings specific experience in corporate roles that have focused on strategic outcomes and implementation of major resource projects having previously held senior executive roles with Rio Tinto/Iron Ore Company of Canada/Hamersley Iron, Tethyan Copper (JV Antofagasta, Barrick Gold), Ernst & Young, Snowden Group, and Western Mining and a Board role with Rey Resources and a Mitsubishi Development JV.
Chairman, Malcolm Macpherson said Mr Clark will succeed Tony Schoer, who has decided not to relocate to Perth following the transfer of the Company’s principal place of business from Melbourne last year.
“We are delighted to have a successor with the experience and skills of Brett to take over from Tony, and this change was envisaged last year when the Company moved its head office and operational personnel from Melbourne to Perth.”
