How many people know what motivated Charles Dickens to write & lecture about his storie of Oliver Twist.Simply the rich & well to do either were to a certain extent through ignorance or otherwise chose to verify their own lot & to heck with the rest.Charles Dickens lectured on the poor & isolated souls around London at the time .Also his idea was by lifting their standards.Getting rid of all the theives & scurviose inhabitants would lift the living standards of all.
