Living on a rural block, and getting robbed just before xmas, the police told me the best deterrent was a dog. Being self employed, and living at the registered address
for the business, I am entitled to claim for the dog, or a goose for that matter ( geese make very good alarm systems)
I can also claim for 80% of my home phone bill, 30% of my electric bill, and any home office expenses, computers, internet. Sounds good ? Then get yourself a business, work long hours for little pay, forget holidays , public holidays, long service, compulsory superannuation, early knock offs on hot days, or Friday arvo's if the surf is up.
Replace this with workers comp insurance, public liability insurance, and the continued headaches of lazy employees, who expect 80-100k a year for doing as little as possible.

Thats my whinge for the day, I am off for a night at the casino to celebrate my 50th.

PS, self employment is a bitch, I am retiring in 12 months LOL
