Hi Eztrang and all,
Could you ever see your self paying $320.00 for a beer down at your local?
When I started drinking you could buy 8 pints of bitter for a UK pound today you need to pay around four pounds in a decent pub for a pint beer a factor of 32 increase if you will. By the way I am not two hundred years old either. The tell me before WW11 it was four old pence a pint.
Clearly you at least understand how by using my Silver dollar over the paper one I can still buy petrol at 1921 prices even if some halfwit can’t.
I can agree in some ways Silver may not look like the best investment of this century; however, protecting ones purchasing power is a very important matter to some people including me. CBA as we all know has been a terrific asset for many Mum and Dad investors; however, over the last year it has gone backwards and that’s a fact.
If I live long enough to see beer at $320.00 at least I will be able to buy a round for my mates and I!
Cheers and very best regards: Andy
