If only 5% of the holders had read the papers (there are only 3 of them anyway) rather than reading ridiculous opinions, this outcome would not come as a big shock.

It is more difficult and less enjoyable to read scientific papers rather reading silly, funny comments - I agree. Typical public behaviour. Insulting or mocking physicians, scientist and "believing" in what they want to believe. But I hope if there is one thing that can be learned from this experience, that would be the importance of reading and understanding proper, solid research as well as critical analysis of the information.
