I suspect that at the moment that the buyback is in the blackout period prior to announcement of the half yearly result (later this week?).
That of course doesn't explain why there were no transactions prior to the blackout period - i can only assume they were waiting for the market to stabilise.
Doesn't sound like a resounding vote of confidence in the company's immediate term outlook but I guess we will have some more information on that with the half commentary.
