I think the reason for the sliding SP, is simply because the market buys in to this stock not beacuse of the value in the ground but beacuse of what they believe the SP will be worth tomorrow.
i.e. When a good announcement comes in, there's a flood of buyers all attempting to buy in before the enthusiasm subsides. If there's no further good news pending, the SP will drop to a level where people are afraid to sell.
In other words, fundamentals are the triggers, but TA determines the reaction.
