No, you haven't missed any news update that suggests an announcement of the prototype results in early October.

To support my assertion, here are extracted quotes from the relevant news releases to the ASX:

Panorama Synergy Proves Optical MEMES Reader Technology (released 31/07/14 @ 0823 hrs)
"Panorama anticipates that one of its initial first generation systems will be applicable to the mining sector, targeting improved exploration outcomes and safety. These systems are being developed in a prototype format with a view to being licenced or manufactured as end products. Test results are likely to be published as soon as the fourth quarter of the 2014 calendar year."

Activities Statement & Appendix 4C (released 31/07/14 @ 1415 hrs)
"Panorama anticipates that its first prototype will be applicable to the mining and resources sector, and will be ready for testing during the fourth quarter of the 2014 calendar year."


The second of these two announcements gives a little more insight because it implies that the prototype would (only) be ready for testing during the fourth quarter (i.e. not before). Clearly the results cannot be reported before the actual testing has occured.

We have just cleared the first week of Q4 and, assuming the researchers are not running well ahead of shedule, I certainly do not expect an announcement of the prototype results "any day now". Sometime during this quarter, yes, but for me this is measured in weeks not days.

Towards the end of September at least one poster (cannot recall who it was) was suggesting that the protoypte results announcement would occur 'before' the start of Q4. And now all this chatter of "any day now" appears to be nothing more than sensationalism and quite likely self-interested hyperbole.

You had a valid question and were met with derision for asking it. Whilst I don't agree with the tone of your most recent post I wanted to lend support to measured enthusiasm, rather than some of the wild unsubstantiated claims that are routinely thrown around here.
