    Yea I know, monark, it's scary isn't it... soon sellers will start giving away money so people can take up their shares.

    Coal demand I think is growing at around 4% pa. Coal prices have fallen. Around $90/t for an average grade thermal, COK's PCI goes for around $160-$170/t, so still good margins for a quality deposit like Barralaba.

    Thermal Coal (poor grading) from the Appalachian is trading around $60/t, so they're really suffering at the moment... they're in the process of cutting production and closing mines in that part of the world. The Indonesian coals go for about $70/t, alot of their mines are in the negative. Some of the lower grading mines in Oz should also be feeling the pinch, but as usual in Australia, managers don't pull the plug until the company is wading through a mountain of debt.
    Sooner or later there'll be a lot of supply coming out of the market.
