I'd be careful buying EBG, the liquidity is poor and there is still no guarantee that the takeover will take place. AXI is not running up on speculation of the EBG deal, it's rising because of the recent brokers report.


AXI only need 50% of EBG to take control of them, once they have that they can take control of the board, and the direction of the company.
It would be most likely that the directors holding the last 27% would sell out.

The 20% rule only applies when the takeover is by stealth, once a company aquires 20% of another companys stock it must make an offer.
That does not apply in this case, because AXI have already announced their intentions.
