Possibly - but I don't believe the researcher.
Some months ago Mike Rann (SA Premier) said Oly Dam was the world first $1 trillion value mine. ( I assume that means the value of all future cash flows - not discounted).
The ASX has a current market cap about the same $1.09Trillion, ( I assume this is value of all future cash flows - discounted to today's value)
If the researcher is comparing a non-discounted value , with a discounted value, he/she is being disengenuous.
Otherwise, BHP Market cap would be above $1Tr . It is in fact closer to $140 Bn.
