The market has become over enthusiastic about BNPL stocks which is leading to a buying hysteria after watching after pay. These new payment methods are fads and will die out in time as consumers come to terms with the expense involved.
BNPL is inconvenient because you need to watch your repayments or else you are penalized greater than credit cards.
It will be very easy for banks to offer their own BNPL products without using these new platforms. Markets are very adaptable. When banks offer BNPL it will be the end of Market listed platforms like Afterpay and Zip.
Everyone needs a bank therefore it will be very easy for banks to integrate their own BNPL systems.
