tc, agree longer term, but grain stocks are fairly comfortable after last years record crop. this crop is looking almost as good, food shortages aren't in sight, furthermore the grain buyers aren't doing much buying and so the prices continue to drift lower.
grain prices aren't moving until there is some serious supply disruptions and until prices start moving demand for fertiliser won't be strong.
and despite what profarmer are saying, no farmer i know will book in fertiliser until well into next year.
