FORMER CFO, NATWEST BANK'S RETAIL BUSINESS TO JOIN ADVANTEL BOARD

Listed telecommunications carrier, Advantage Telecommunications
Limited (AdvanTel), ASX.ATC) has appointed Mr Paul R Biddle to its
Board as a non-executive director.

Paul Biddle was CFO of NatWest's Retail & Commercial Business from
1994 to 2000. He earlier served as Finance Director of Digital
Equipment & Xerox Businesses in the UK. In January 2001, Paul joined
Jarvis plc as Chief Executive of a newly formed division, Jarvis
Systems & Technologies. He is a non executive director of Charteris
plc, an IT & business consultancy which successfully listed on the
London AIM market in 2000.

Mark Stewart, CEO AdvanTel said, "We welcome Paul to the Board and
are delighted to receive his financial counsel and support. Paul has
a terrific reputation within the City of London, his experience and
acumen exude credibility in the area of corporate governance and
finance".

Mr Stewart continued, "The appointment of Paul Biddle to the Board is

support the attainment of the Company's UK listing and his tremendous
reputation and experience will significantly contribute toward the
Company's Eurasian strategic plan with regards to M&A".

business. My considerable finance experience will further complement
the strong management team already established."

Mr Stewart continued, "Paul Biddle's appointment is the latest
appointment as we strengthen AdvanTel Board for the medium term".

Mr Stewart said the appointment of Mr Biddle supports AdvanTels M&A
strategy to acquire profitable companies in its next stage of
development as the Company becomes a strong market entity.

Mr John Palermo, the Chairman of ATC said, "The Directors are in the
process of considering additional appointments to further strengthen
the Board and will advise ASX upon appointment being made."
