phos, To be honest, 20% losses arenot that big considering the type of investment you put yourself in..... I put myself in worser returning stock before because I thought I was steel balls and had profits to risk.... then I realised another stock of better value and made it all back while stock I sold from sailed sideways and down.......taking on Range, you would have to allow for much bigger losses... but then also allow for much bigger future returns... These bigger returns that have been talked of cannot RATIONALLY occur until drill results... which, as we know is at least 4-5 months away.... unless some fake EGO type smoke screen forms (remember EGO sp boomed past 6c (6.7c off memory).... on hype alone and we were sitting here like what the hell... 120m market value on nothing...!!! remember)...I highlighted rational because it is so true... big hype could do anything to RRS...it wouldnot be sustained unless discovery... big hype would signal great selling opportunity.... .... the cheaper SP gets, the more lucrative future returns are percieved to be.. .... ...less than 10% odds for massive discovery... development and production stages to be discounted heavily, country with such high political risk... 20-25% OCC is the appropriate discount rate.... 5 years minimum development... .... No major oiler has ever recouped back expenditure in Puntland.... fact.... I will bring up the list of failed oilers soon.... .... Phos, have a good study up of MEO during the weekend... im on the line with this one... looks favourable.... pre discovered permit, timor sea, TCF multiples, flow rate risk, short term gain or loss.... gain 400% one year...lose 50% plus..... very favourable odds because stacked in odds of gain...no wild cat drilling here.. check it out.... DYOR..... recent major success in this region by many Aussie oilers...nothing beats auzzie oilers from this Kiwi kids perspecitve
