I hope so too but unfortunately that is my real life experience during a liquidity event. "Why anyone would jump out of real money and real money miners into fiat currencies" because fiat has a certain optionality to it in such an event when other asset classes don't.
In the land of the blind a man with one eye is king. Understand that you and I have the one eye on the nasty 2% a year Fiat debasement steamroller. We know It is slow but it is deadly in the long run. Unfortunately the majority of the population don't and when fear sets in they do run to the Steamroller with gusto. In fiat you got to know when to hold, know when to fold and definitely know when to run! It is the name of the game here...
