I serendipitously got in yesterday, less than a week after reading about a Mg supply shortage!
A bit more research and crazy speculation comes calling (Spec always yells in my head). I find parallels between Mg at this instant in time with the REE shortage threat more than a dozen or more years ago:
1) Tight supply. 2) Close to 100% of all Mg China controlled production. 3) China's methods are more toxic to the planet, and their immediate surrounds. 4) Mg vital to an electrified EV future.
On top of this is the -- not-going-away -- insto ESG emphasis; geo-politics getting more pointier (increasingly deteriorating) with China, highlighting Mg's strategic importance, and; LMG's non-Chinese direct competition adding up to little more than a rounding error.
How long this situation remains is impossible to determine. What is clear is that, in time, when looking back at the LMG chart it will be clear LMG entry is close to the ground floor... and the elevator has only just left!
