and our next generation of kids that are more overweight than ever will suddenly want to exercise and eat well instead of staying up all night playing on their screens and eating junkfood. they can just take a pill and their bodyweight and health will be perfect.
at this point in time we dont know about long term effects. come off this drug and you have 82% relapse rate. what happens during pregnancy? it gave mice thyroid cancer but it should be ok in humans long term..
i think its important to recognise that the pharmaceuitcal industry is based on formulating toxins and then trying to determine a relatively safe dosage to give. they cost allot to develop because 1/3 of them are dropped from development or distribution for toxicity.
however there are new promising forms of medicine emerging (cellular/gene). i believe this is where the exciting future lies. non toxic therapy that is tackling big health issues such as diabetes, heart failure and cancer.
