    "Most people don't have $2k sitting around to sped on weight loss each year/year in, year out."

    At that price it can be neutral with the lower food costs.

    If I average $30 a day on food/drink and consume 2600 calories, that is $11k per year in food.

    If I reduce my calorie consumption to 2000 calories per day (-23%) there's a good chance most of that flows into the cost of purchasing food (-$2530).
