Michelmore probably needs to test the theory of BUY HIGH SELL LOW one more time just to check that it doesn't work.
Still, he should now be starting to understand that when you are faaaarrrrked you don't have a choice.
So long as the Beards have not entrusted their gift from Michelmore to Benjamin Almzalak for a second time they would probably be in a position to take back their baby.
After all GUL has been doing nothing for more then 10 years so it would be logical for Deitzy to use it as a vehicle to get back Avebury and then proudly proclaim that he always had GUL waiting on the sidelines for just such an occasion.
