i am very green at this i have bought $40,000 of shares over the past 2 years av 22 cents i am goin alright at the moment

how does a chartist relate the quality of announcements to share price flucuations

my thoughts are nasdaq listing is no where near as important as a positive earning potential announcement

just say both these happened quite apart from each other
with no influence on each other and both announcements occurred the same price spikes in the same circumstances

if i bought on the basis of nasdaq listing and nothing else happens i would imagine i would lose money but if i bought on the positive announcement i know i could still lose but i would have less risk

i guess what i am trying to say is when looking at charts is there any consideration to quality of announcements or is it entirely on share price and volume
