WPL may eventually take BRU over but not until there are established reserves.
Nobody will get BRU cheap. There are simply too many friendly holders who understand BRU's potential. When you add Eric's holding and Coogee's , then you have a significant block of shares that wont sell cheap.
There are a number of possibilities driving todays activity.
Results leaking from the field coming from field crew changing out.
Existing large shareholder increasing their holding such as Coogee.
Shorters realising that this is as cheap as BRU will ever get, and covering.
Major gas contract signed (subject to reserve recognition).
Some thing else I havent thought of.

Whatever the reason, I would expect an announcement today or tomorrow.
