I would really love to see the French contracts which make us liable for about four billion $ in damages
As you say it was a new design and the finger pointing should be at the Public Servants who processed the deal, either the politicians ordered" them to process them against normal policy or they were derelict in their work, of course they are the same incompetent officials now advising the new PM
It is rather frustrating to see this happening and not have the information to do a proper due diligence on the deal
So it's just my opinion
Hopefully aukus will stop us making all Defense orders expensive duds
